So, the start of another year. But not just any old year. This truly is a new beginning. I am 46 years old as of last week. I have battled my weight my whole life--not anything new for many. This blog will be an account of getting back to where I belong physically and mentally.
Many of my friends and loved ones would never call me fat. I have a large strong frame. But alas...I got on the scale yesterday (Dec. 31, 2009) and I popped 251 LBS (256 LBS fully clothed), which is a number I thought I would never reach. So this is where the story begins.
My goal is to document my new body as it unfolds from within. And I hope it inspires many out there who may not be considered morbidly obsese, those of us who cannot be on "The Biggest Loser" simply because we don't have enough mass to lose, but who struggle nevertheless. My mission is to help others, through example and interaction, with their personal growth as I change myself. I will document my daily changes and also share with you my personal life history in hopes that some insight into your own life might inspire you.

Okay Bill. I want to go on record in letting you know that you are my inspiration. 1/3/2010....220 lbs!
ReplyDeleteMy lifestyle modification began this morning.
The belt is tight, blood pressure high, cholesterol high, stress level high, stamina low. THIS WILL ALL CHANGE due to your inspiration Bill.
Let's get it on!!!
I am with you totally Frank! This will be a great year for us!
ReplyDeleteOkay Bill.
ReplyDeleteI haven't fit any workouts into my schedule.
I have stopped my intake of Diet soda, no snacking on a box of cheez-its or a gallon of ice cream after dinner. Like you, I am lowering my portions at BLD and fruit in between. That food pantry just calls for me all night.
I think we should have locks put on the food pantry except when meals are being made. And wives are the only ones with the key. Ice cream should only be eaten before 2pm. I love it just like you. And Egg Nog. Frank, I would drink an entire half gallon of C.F. Burger's Colonial Nog in one night. I did it twice this season. OUCH!
