Day Four

I have never been happier for a Monday after the long Christmas Holiday. I am ready to get at it across all parts of my life: job, home, and new health.

I will suggest, for those runners who hate running in this cold weather, a little house cleaning, and re-arranging can do a lot for you. I am lucky to have a wife who periodically must move furniture throughout the house just to create a change of scenery. I must admit it certainly makes one feel like they moved without moving. Think of the savings and the sweaty workout to go with it. Thank you Suzanne. (Suffice it to say.....despite my initial grunts and huffs, we moved beds and desks around yesterday in addition to the X-Mas tear down and the couch removal).

Dragging a little bit today (did not sleep well), but I am looking forward to the one hour on the Gerbil Machines (treadmills) later this afternoon.

I am finding more ways in which I eat. I am embarrassed to confess and admit that I am the dish washer who cleans the dishes with his mouth. (WHO IS THAT GUY?! ha ha).

As far as food goes.....I am mixing up breakfast with, Eggbeaters, oatmeal, Kashi's Go Lean Crunch (thank you John and Katie Jackson) which is much better than Grapenuts because more fiber, protein and almighty flavor. Grapenuts tastes like dry dog food.

Lunch is a mixed bag for now. It could be leftovers from the previous night's dinner, or a turkey sandwich. When I am on a sales lunch, the plan is Chicken Cesar Salad, dressing on the side and no croutons. I am watching how much I eat rather than what I am eating. I figure that with the shear volume of consumption I subjected myself to that just by staying within BLD (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and by my keeping the small fruit, veggie, water in-between meal meals to stave off the HUNGRYS, then my mass should come off. At least until I hit a wall, which by then I will have to refine the meal plan.

One suggestion in yesterdays Parade also stated eating your starch before 2PM. So today I had two peices of whole wheat bread with my turkey.
