Day Six

B E WA R E - -R E S O L U T I O N I S T S ARE TAKING OVER THE GYM!

Count me in as one of them. So 30 minutes of weights and 30 on the elliptical. Felt strong and could have gone longer. A good nights sleep does wonders for the body and the mind. Needless to say that the Y is very busy these days.

So I have decided to reward myself for every ten pounds that I lose. The catch is not with food. So instance, once the first ten pounds disappear, I am ordering a subscription to American Poetry Review, which I have not received since I was in college. It is a monthly paper form journal of American poetry, and interviews of various poets, known and unknown. This will give me a goal to work toward in small steps so that I am not overwhelmed by the amount of weight I have to lose.

There is an excellent article in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) today about the benefits of exercise and how much it effects overall health. I also posted this article on FB for my friends if this link does not work. Please check in out if you get the chance.
